OUR MISSION at LYNRMII
The mission of Love Your Neighbor Rescue Mission International Inc. (LYNRMII) is to improve and elevate the quality of families and children’s lives in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, Nigeria who are below the poverty level by developing projects that give them access to education, medical, food and economic development opportunities whereas otherwise they would be left behind. Give the gift of hope to a family in need in Nigeria.
Farming Project
This is a source of EMPOWERMENT that provides families who are abject poor the opportunity to learn a trade (farming). Each assisted family is given portions of land to directly engage in plantain farming because these families lack the necessities of life (including food). LYNRMII provides the initial capital funds needed as “seed money” to start up the farming process: feeding and payment of laborers, purchase of equipment, crops, fertilizers, building of huts for the farmers to dwell in, and transportation of goods.
Medical Mission Trip
In order to improve and elevate the quality of life of the sick and families who are abject poor, LYNRMII embark on bi-annual FREE medical missions to Nigeria and neighboring countries in collaboration with otherNon-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Our Spring 2024 mission trip was an absolute success! We are looking forward to inviting volunteers and helping families in need for our November 2024 mission trip. See you soon!
Microloan/Business
This empowers families who are abject poor to learn a trade. Our organization provides the initial capital funds to start up small-scale businesses of their choice depending on their capabilities. These businesses include groceries, tailoring, chicken/turkey/goat poultries, and restaurants. Our mission at LYNRMII is to give those in peril hand UP and not a hand OUT.
Education Project
The school project was created to develop the lifelong need to learn and grow which will improve and elevate the quality of life of the families who are abject poor. LYNRMII currently supports thirty-one (31) elementary school children with necessary school supplies and nourishments. In addition, to leverage these elementary school children during this technological age, LYNRMII started and launched an after-school basic computer training program for ten (10) children with the goal to expand the classroom size.
